MURREE:-If you think winter is over, wait a second. Snowfall in the northern areas of Pakistan has, once again, begun dipping temperatures below the freezing point.

Rainfall in Southern Punjab and snow in mountainous areas began earlier this week. The Met Office, too, had predicted a westerly wave would turn the weather chilly in the hilly regions of the country.

In the last few days, snowfall, in intervals, has been seen in Nathia Gali, Ayubia, Thandiani, Murree, and areas of Azad Jammu and Kashmir. The weather further up in Gilgit-Baltistan, too, has gotten colder.

Experts say the snowfall will last throughout this week and have warned authorities to be prepared. In Murree, the authorities have begun clearing roads every few hours, while multiple alerts have been issued as well.

Meanwhile, in Sindh, hot days are on the cards. The Met Office has said Karachi, especially, is bidding farewell to winter. The mercury is going to rise in the upcoming weeks accompanied by gusty winds.
