ISLAMABAD:– Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Sunday approved pre-arrest bail of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in the alleged threats to woman judge case.
PTI’s counsel Babar Awan, filed the petition a day after Islamabad court issued an arrest warrant for the PTI chairman in the case against him for his remarks against Additional District and Sessions Judge Zeba Chaudhry.
IHC Judge Mohsin Akhtar Kiyani granted interim pre-arrest bail to Imran Khan until October 7 against surety bonds of Rs10,000 and directed him to appear before the relevant court.
Earlier, Federal Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah on Saturday said that the parliament will decide to take action under the Article 6 against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan over the audio purportedly featuring party leaders Asad Umar and Shah Mahmood Qureshi discussing the much-touted “threat cipher” with Imran Khan.
Addressing a press conference along with PML-N leader in Lahore, Rana upon PML-N vice President Maryam Nawaz’s demand to take action against Imran Khan over cipher issue said that her demand is right and the parliament will decide to take action under the Article 6 against the PTI supremo.
