Islamabad woman police constable dies in mysterious circumstances

adminA woman constable of Islamabad police has died in mysterious circumstances shortly after she left the police headquarters to visit a bank.
Iqra Nazir, who was in her twenties, was brought to Poly Clinic Hospital by a senior police officer, who claimed the constable was being given medical treatment when she passed away. Other reports claimed she was brought dead.
Islamabad Inspector General of Police has ordered an inquiry into her death.
Sources at Poly Clinic Hospital told that Superintendent Police (traffic) Arif Shah brought the woman constable to the hospital and said that she was the daughter of his friend and was visiting him at his house when she fell ill.
A police spokesperson said that Iqra had left the police headquarters at 11am, saying that she was going to the bank and the police received the report of her death by 3pm.
Iqra had recently reported back for duty after a leave of two months on medical grounds, the spokesperson said.
Islamabad IGP has formed an inquiry committee to probe her death.
Reports say that Iqra’s parents, originally from Mansehra in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, live in Karachi.
