Imran Khan, several others wounded in firing at PTI’s long march container

WAZIRABAD:- Former Prime Minister and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chairman Imran Khan, Senator Faisal Javed and other party leaders were wounded after gunshots fired at the long march container.
According to the details,the firing incident happend during the long march reception camp at Allahwala Chowk in Wazirabad
PTI leader Fawad Chaudhry has confirmed that Imran Khan was shot in the leg in a targeted attack during the long march in Wazirabad today.
Fawad further said that three people were injured in the attack, including Senator Faisal Javed and Ahmad Chattha.
Imran Khan with later seen with a bandage on his right leg, just above the foot, according to reports and a blurry image. He was moved to another vehicle from his container truck, from where announcements were being made that he was safe.
After a man opened fire at PTI chairman Imran Khan to injure him in Gujranwala, party leader Shahbaz Gill said that “Imran Khan is our red line and an attempt has been made to cross that red line.”
He also said that Khan will fight till his last breath.
In a video statement on Twitter, Senator Faisal Javed said that “May Allah keep everyone safe and sound, and some of our friends are serious. Injured, one of our party worker is being told that he has been martyred.”
PM summons report into firing on Imran Khan’s container
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif on Thursday sought a report of the firing incident on Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) long march container which the led to the injuries of former prime minister Imran Khan.
The firing took place at Imran Khan’s container in which the PTI chief including Faisal Javed, Ahmed Nasir Chattha and other party leaders were injured at Allahwala Chowk in Wazirabad.
They were immediately shifted to local hospital for medical assistance.
On the other hand, the prime minister strongly condemned the firing incident and also sought a report.
PM Shehbaz also directed Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, IG Punjab Police Faisal Shahkar and Chief Secretary Punjab to immediately report.
Punjab Chief Minister Parvez Elahi has taken notice of the firing incident near PTI Chairman Imran Khan’s container in Wazirabad and instructed the provincial IGP to submit a report after thorough investigation.
“Those behind this incident will be brought to justice soon and the injured will be provided the best medical care,” the chief minister said.
On the other hand, the prime minister strongly condemned the firing incident and also sought a report.

PM Shehbaz also directed Interior Minister Rana Sanaullah, IG Punjab Police Faisal Shahkar and Chief Secretary Punjab to immediately report.
Later, in a tweet, Rana Sanaullah also condemned the attack on the PTI chairman and directed the chief secretary and IGP Punjab to submit a report of the incident.
“A report of the firing incident has also been sought from the federal security agencies,” the tweet read further.
Meanwhile, Federal Minister for planning and development Ahsan Iqbal has also condemned the incident.
In his tweet, the minister said, “Thank God Imran Niazi is safe,” adding that there is no room for violence in politics.
