Government plans to borrow $5bln from China, Russia, Kazakhstan: sources

ISLAMABAD:– Federal government plans on borrowing $5 billion from China, Russia and Kazakhstan.
Sources privy to the matter said that government is likely to get $3 billion from China and $2 billion from Russia and Kazakhstan.
Sources further loan received from Kazakhstan and Russia will be spent on ML-1 project while Chinese funds will be used to bolster foreign exchange reserves of the country.
