Ex-COAS Gen (R) Bajwa meets Ex-CJP Saqib Nisar: Report
LAHORE: Former Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Qamar Javed Bajwa is reported to have called on former Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) Mian Saqib Nisar in Lahore last night.
According to media report, the former Army Chief met the former Chief Justice of Pakistan at his residence in Garden Town, Lahore.
Both the former powerful figures reportedly discussed “bilateral issues as well as political matters” in the meeting, the report said.
The report said it was the first-ever meeting between General (Retired) Qamar Javed Bajwa and Justice (Retired) Mian Saqib Nisar after both left their posts.
General Bajwa retired from the post of Army Chief on 29 November 2022, while Saqib Nisar retired from the post of Chief Justice of Pakistan in January 2019.
