ISLAMABAD:– Pakistan Muslim League (PML-N) leader Ataullah Tarar on Wednesday reacted to Fawad Chaudhry’s arrest in a “provocative speech” case against the chief election commissioner (CEC) and said Fawad had to tender an apology to the CEC for threatening him.
Adressing a presser, Mr Tarar, flanked by PML-N leader Abid Sher Ali, lashed out at the PTI stalwart, saying there was a big difference between Nelson Mandela and Fawad, adding that he was booked and arrested in accordance with law and there was no political motive behind his arrest.
Reminding the PTI of “political victimisation” of the PML-N top guns, he said Rana Sanaullah was put in jail in the fabricated drug case, adding that Fawad Chaudhry defended PTI’s position when Nihal Hashmi was booked in the sedition case.
“No one was behind the ouster of PTI’s government. Because of your failed policies and politics of revenge, you ended your government and cried foul over the regime change mantra,” added Mr Tarar.
